Roshel Defence Solutions has recently presented the first armoured 2018 Lincoln Navigator Reserve L. Since the new Navigator features a new light aluminum body, Roshel had to utilize innovative light-weight composite ballistic materials as well as precise craftsmanship in order to ensure vehicle’s original performance.
The Roshel’s 2018 Navigator provides full perimeter armouring in accordance with the level CEN 1063 B6 protecting from high powered rifles, including multiple impacts from 7.62 and 5.56 NATO ammunition, as well as, 7.62x39mm AK47 rounds. The vehicle is equipped with the upgraded braking system and reinforced suspension to efficiently carry additional weight. Roshel ballistic materials and critical components have been tested and certified by leading European and North American testing laboratories.
The all-new Lincoln is the fourth-generation Navigator with the 450-hp twin-turbo V6, 10-speed automatic transmission and independent rear suspension. The Roshel has armoured the longer version with 131.6-inch wheelbase, offering the best-in-class legroom in the second and third rows. The vehicle features soft leaver 30-way adjustable seats that include heating, cooling, and massage functions. The rear entertainment system consists of two 10-inch touchscreen screens mounted on the back of the front seats.
In its line of armoured luxury SUVs, Roshel focuses on providing the highest level of safety along with boosting vehicle’s comfort. For instance, the vehicle is equipped with innovative window actuators for fast and smooth bulletproof window opening. To ensure the safety of its passengers the vehicle features overlap protection installed on all doors and windows to ensure that bullets will not penetrate the gaps. All tires are equipped with run-flat devices allowing to drive 80 km/h with the punched tire in order to safely escape from the threat.
As a provider of comprehensive defence systems, Roshel offers a wide range of advanced security capabilities, which can be installed on its armoured vehicles, such as jamming systems, observation and video surveillance, smoke screen, etc. Roshel manufactures all of its vehicles in-house at its modern full-cycle production facility located in Mississauga, Ontario.
