The Senator ERV features unique technical characteristics and exceptional maneuverability for successful rescue operations in urban and remote locations. Roshel products are acknowledged as having the highest score for side tilt in the industry, giving the Senator ERV outstanding vehicle stability and roll-over resistance on uneven terrain. The Senator is also designed with the best protection to weight ratio of any vehicle in its class, directly impacting its fuel consumption, maneuverability and speed. The vehicle’s interior uses novel insulation materials to protect against heat and noise while also being fully air-conditioned for comfort in various climate zones.
All Senator ERV models feature Roshels proprietary smart vehicle technology, providing operators with advanced tools for managing emergency operations. Pioneering solutions in connectivity and telematics power the Senator’s remote vehicle surveillance, monitoring, and access controls. Roshels smart tools designed for the Senator ERV enhance the responder’s ability to assess and mitigate risks in real-time so that every mission is carried out with the greatest safety and efficacy now and into the future.
The Senator ERV utilizes perimeter armoring of the passenger compartment and engine bay, designed to provide ballistic protection up to CEN B7, while the vehicle floor is fitted with ground-blast protection for increased occupant safety. To ensure the protection quality of our vehicles, all materials used are rigorously tested to meet ballistic standards by internationally recognized North American and European laboratories. All Senator ERV models come equipped with standard security features including, escape hatches, advanced locks, external view cameras, siren, PA systems, and emergency lighting.
Like the Senator APC offered by Roshel, the ERV is based on a dynamic modular platform that can be custom configured to address specific rescue scenarios and emergency conditions. 360-degree Ballistic Capsule
The vehicle features an armored capsule designed to provide 360-degree ballistic protection. All utilized materials are certified and tested by internationally recognized laboratories to meet ballistic protection standards.
Hydraulic Ram Bar System
To facilitate rescue operations the Senator can be equipped with a 3 piece remotely operated hydraulic ram bar that attaches to the front receiver. It quickly mounts on both sides of the vehicle above the rear wheel.
Ballistic Skip Round Shield
The electric-powered ballistic skip round shield can be quickly deployed by pressing the button on the central console without the need to go outside of the vehicle.
Heavy-Duty Winch
The Senator is equipped with the front-mounted heavy-duty electric-powered winch. The self-recovery winch features extreme sealing, durability and reliability to support rescue operations in harsh climate conditions.
Radiation Detection System
To safely facilitate rescue operations the Senator can be equipped with the radiation detection package which consists of digital wall mounted monitor, external detector and handheld pocket meter. An alarm is set to warn the crew of higher than normal radiation levels.
Ergonomic Interior Layout
The Senator ERV offers customizable ergonomic interior layouts to provide comfort environment for the crew without compromising safety.
Multi-Sensor Thermal Imaging Camera
The Senator ERV features the multi-sensor thermal camera providing clear thermal imaging and local situational analysis for enhanced driver vision, day and night.

The Roshel Senator has been tested by the National Research Council Canada, the leading Government research facility, to confirm its static rollover threshold and roll response characteristics. The vehicle demonstrated the best-in-class side slope performance by consistently reaching 39-degree mark on both sides.
